Measures put in place to help contain the spread of COVID-19 are gradually changing. The governments of European countries are stepping up measures and introducing new restrictions. All the suddenly changing rules are keeping travellers on their toes. How does it affect your planned IVF travels? And why is it a good idea to visit the Czech Republic for fertility treatment?

The Czech Republic remains cautious

The Czech Republic was spared the worst of the early pandemic. The government introduced harsh restrictions in early March and so managed to keep the number of COVID-19 cases in very low numbers. Even today the government of Czech Republic is monitoring the situation closely to keep the risk of infection as low as possible and to protect their own citizens and tourists as well. The Czech Republic also has the highest level of medical care which makes the country a perfect destination for IVF infertility treatment.

What safety measures can you expect? UNICA clinics have been opened for months now and are fully operating to help patients achieve their dreams about their own family. To avoid any possible risk all areas of the clinic are constantly disinfected and staff and patients are both required to wear facemasks. Since the 1st September 2020, the government of the Czech Republic implements the following precautions to keep citizens and visitors safe.

It is mandatory to wear a facemask:

  • in all kinds of public transportation
  • in all indoor spaces

It is not required to wear facemasks outdoors. This means visitors can still enjoy this beautiful city to the fullest. Undergoing an IVF treatment in the Czech Republic is not only safe but also worth the travel.
