Recently, we've had the pleasure of meeting a couple who had successfully undergone treatment and welcomed their daughter, Annamaja, into the world. The couple graciously shared personal experiences of their journey, which we are happy to share in this blog post.

The couple had been trying to conceive for 4.5 years before seeking treatment at Unica Clinic. They had previously sought treatment at a clinic in their home country of Denmark. However, they ultimately chose Unica Clinic because of the kindness and understanding they experienced during their visit, and their appointment with Dr. Thomas Frgala left them feeling optimistic.
Their first impression of the clinic was welcoming, and they felt understood and optimistic.
However, undergoing treatment in another country seemed daunting at first. "In the beginning, it felt like it would be unmanageable. But after our first visit, we figured out it was only logistics. We have had some very nice stays in Brno city and enjoyed the cultural experiences, dining out, and trying to make it as romantic as possible to be on a small holiday ", described the couple.
In Unica, they had the option to choose a donor similar to them, which was decisive in their selection. They were elated when they received a positive pregnancy test but found it a bit unreal. When they heard their daughter's heartbeat, the couple felt mixed emotions; Bjarne was happy and even guessed it was a girl, while Lotte was overwhelmed with emotion and cried.
For couples hesitant to undergo IVF treatment, the couple advises that although the journey may be long and difficult, it is worth it. They encourage others to remain optimistic and remind them they may be just as blessed.
Annamaja is being raised knowing her story, and her parents have always shared pictures and retold the story of her conception with her.

Finally, the couple recently had the opportunity to revisit the Unica clinic and reconnect with Dr. Frgala. "It was fantastic seeing Tomas and the clinic again - and it was heartwarming seeing how glad he was when he met our daughter. Going through a fertility treatment was a rollercoaster trip; we had almost forgotten how it felt. But talking to Tomas again made us realize that even though every failure feels awful, the chance of success makes it worth it all! ".
